Clicks Group’s non-executive director, Nonkululeko Gobodo disclosed on Wednesday that a number of months in the past, she notified the corporate’s administration of the best way it communicates with their black clients.
She mentioned the disaster didn’t come out of nowhere.
She had earlier warned the administration group to watch out with the best way they converse with their black clients.
She disclosed this amidst the racist saga happening towards Clicks after they printed a TREsemme advert on their web site which labelled a black lady’s hair as “dry, broken and frizzy”.
“It’s very unusual truly. Within the final strategic session, that is what I used to be asking. ‘How are you speaking to your black clients?’ And there was even a plan and all of that.”
“And now a number of months later, it’s confirmed that the plan isn’t working. We do should insist on inclusivity, we wish an inclusive financial system,” she mentioned.
Clicks determined to close its doorways on Wednesday with the intention to present assist and counselling to its employees following EFF’s protests actions towards Clicks.
Clicks mentioned that it could resume buying and selling on Thursday.
