4 railway thieves have been apprehended by the Police in Mpumalanga and Pretoria.
The police launched in an announcement on Monday that in a joint operation focused to handle theft and damages of vital infrastructure within the rail surroundings a 38yr-old man in Hercules, Pretoria was arrested on Friday.
The operation was carried out by the SAPS, the passenger rail company, Telkom and Tshwane metro police officers.
He has been charged with copper theft and tampering with important infrastructure.

In Mpumlanga, three males had been nabbed by the police whereas transporting railway infrastructure which value over R1 million.
